At Monteverde Equus, we want you to live a unique gastronomic experience of what life was like in Costa Rica before, combining a tour with several of the products that helped the economic growth of the area such as coffee, cocoa, sugar cane and milk, all mixed in a traditional experience.
This tour consists of taking our visitors to experience life on a farm 40 years ago, when the cart was used as a means of transportation, and mills were used for the extraction of coffee, cocoa and sugar cane in order to make recipes based on these.
It begins with a general explanation of one of the emblematic symbols such as the typical cart, moving on to the cocoa station where an explanation about the production of this will be made complemented with a recipe for it, continuing to the coffee station, where everything about the production and elaboration of this will be explained accompanied by a delicious dripped coffee from our farm accompanied by a delicious banana bread and cheese biscuit, continuing to our orchard where you will learn about the cultivation of these, and will move on to the milk station where everything related to the production and elaboration of our artisanal cheeses from the farm will be explained, concluding with an exhibition in the sugar cane mill, it is this station to make a very traditional candy in Costa Rica, popularly known as "sobado", then our visitors will receive some Costa Rican gastronomy classes, where they will make cheese empanadas, tortillas accompanied by a minced arracache.
